There are over 100 different forms of arthritis. The most common form, Osteoarthritis is a result of
trauma to the joint, infection of the joint, or age (wear and tear). Other arthritis forms are
autoimmune diseases e.g Rheumatoid arthritis, in which the body attacks itself.
In arthritis the feet also become deformed resulting in uneven pressure distribution across the soles of the feet.
Orthotics (prescription insoles) can be custom made to redistribute the pressure and relieve the pain.
